The Key idea this week in Assessment was about portfolio’s and parent teacher conferences. We learned about helping students put portfolio’s together to showcase the work they’ve done over time in the class, including examples of reading, thinking,writing,interacting and demonstrating their knowlege.We also learned about parent teacher and parent, student, teacher conferences and how to structure them to get optimal information across about students. Five key types of conferences are Feedback conference’s, Goal setting, Demonstration of Growth and Achievement conferences. The most important thing to remember about conferences is that its all about the student, their work and helping them to achieve their goals.
